City Council Regular Meeting — 06/14/04 <br />Minutes - Page 23 <br />the City Council at a future meeting fur further discussion. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Schroeder, Maschka, Ihlan, Kough and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />Discussion ensued regarding whether to direct the City Attorney <br />to draft language for Council consideration of a moratorium on <br />further minor subdivision requests until further study was <br />conducted. After brief deliberation, it was the Council consensus <br />to not take action on a moratorium. <br />Written public comment received as bench handout(s) related to <br />PF 3556 included: <br />1) June 14, 2004 letter from Herbert and Betty Mischke, <br />3100 Ridgewood Road (in opposition). <br />10. Consider a Request by Edward Trudeau for a Variance and <br />Minor Subdivision to Allow the Creation of Two <br />Substandard Residential Parcels at 2485 Pascal Street (PF <br />3571) <br />City Planner Thomas Paschke reviewed this request, noting that <br />the Planning Commission had unanimously recommended <br />denial, with staff recommending approval. <br />Mayor Klausing noted that the applicant was at tonight's <br />meeting. <br />Larry Neilson, Attorney representing Mr. Trudeau <br />(applicant) <br />Mr. Neilson noted that the variance request was minor, and <br />requested the City Council use their discretion in granting the <br />request, largely necessitated by the geography of the roadway. <br />Mr. Neilson reviewed other rationale for approval; and provided <br />several letters of support from neighbors as bench handouts. <br />Councilmember Kough concurred with Mr. Trudeau's request. <br />Mayor Klausing opened the meeting for public comment related <br />to this request. <br />Resolution 10225 <br />Denial of <br />Edward Trudeau <br />Variance and <br />Minor Subdivision <br />Two Substandard <br />Residential Parcels <br />at 2485 Pascal <br />Street (PF 3571) <br />
