Enclosed are two types
of job descriptions. The first is a job description that was embedded within
the 2000-2001 job brochure that was used to solicit a successor to the former
City Manager, Mr. Sarkozy. (We presume, though cannot be sure, that the
Council at that time reviewed and approved the City Manager's j ob
description that was used in that recruitment process.)
The second Job Description is one written by the City's Human Resources
Director in 2002 as part of a review and revision of all city job descriptions.
The Council has not seen or approved that Job Description.
Q
Regarding appraisal forms, you asked us to make some adjustments to the
City of Little Canada forms distributed by Councilmember Schroeder. We
have partially completed this request. We have replaced "Little Canada"
with "Roseville" on the form that Councilmembers fill out. A copy is
enclosed. We have not yet substituted a scaled response for a yes-no
response on the appraisal form that city employees are asked to complete
relating to the city manager.
:.
Finally, you asked about sending an appraisal form to all department heads,
assistant department heads, and division directors. Though we don't often
use the words division director in a formal title, there are approximately
twelve persons who functionally fill a division director role within the
organization.
Attached, then, is a list of approximately 24 city employees fitting the above
categories (6 department heads, 6 assistant department heads, 12 division
directors).
