Relationship with Mayor/Council <br />Maintains effective communications, <br />both verbal and written, with Council <br />Maintains availability to Council, <br />either personally or through <br />designated subordinates. <br />Establishes and maintains a system of <br />reporting to Council current plans and <br />activities of the Staff. <br />Plans and organizes materials for <br />presentation to the Council, either <br />verbally or written, in the most <br />concise, clear and comprehensive <br />manner possible. <br />Performance Standard <br />Relations with Mayor/ <br />Council will be considered <br />effective when a majority of <br />the conditions have been <br />successfully fulfilled: <br />a. Materials, reports, <br />Presentations, and <br />recommendations are <br />clearly and convincingly <br />made. <br />b. Communications are made <br />in a timely, forthright, and <br />open manner. <br />c. Responses to request are <br />made promptly and <br />completely. <br />d. Recommendations appear <br />to be thoroughly researched. <br />e. Adequate information is <br />provided to Council to malce <br />decisions. <br />£ A system is in place to <br />report to Council current <br />plans, activities, events of <br />the City. <br />g.
