For example, the estirnated <br />acquisition cost of all the land is $44.69 million and a$4.47 million contingency, <br />which is 10% of the total cost, has been set aside. If the land is purchased for an <br />amount greater than the estimated cost, funds are available for the additional cost. <br />If the land is purchased for the esrimated amount, the contingency is not necessary <br />for land acquisition and is available to help reduce the deficit. In the aggregate, <br />these contingencies amount to $6,724,890. For each dollar of contingency not <br />needed, the deficit is reduced by that amount. <br />15 of 34 <br />
