To date, the injuries
have included insect bites, minor cuts, sprains and one dislocated thumb. The
EMT presence has been overwhelmingly accepted by our league participants
and families.
Last season our EMT providers let us down. There were 5 games in which the
EMT personnel did not show. There were also some incidents where specific
Technicians should have been more attentive to the playing field.
At our most recent RAYFA board meeting a league Director suggested we hire
Roseville off-duty firemen, EMT trained, to provide RAYFA this service.
After some discussion, our board concluded the fiollowing: RAYFA money wilf
stay in Roseville and thus better benefit folks in Roseville. Secondly, we will be
served by local firemen who are members of our community thus more inherently
tied to our activities. A motion was made, seconded and unanimously approved
that RAYFA move forward to secure these community members as our
Emergency Medical Technicians.
Mr. Beets, on behalf of our association I ask that you present this concept to the
Roseville City Council for approval. RAYFA board members will be available for
questions or comments at a future meeting.
Thank you and the Roseville City Council for your consideration to this matter.
Regards,
Jeff Johnson
President, RAYFA
Roseville Area Youth Footba!!
