Document 8 <br />Smoke-Free Workplaces/Restaurants & Bars Study <br />Bloomington Advisory Board of Health <br />2004 <br />Acknowledgments <br />The Bloomington Advisory Board of Health is responsible for studying significant public health <br />issues and bringing its findings and recommendationsto the City Council for consideration. We <br />extend our appreciation to the City Council for the opportunity to study this importantpublic <br />health issue. Thanks to Bloomington's business and community leaders, local health <br />organizations, and tobacco advocacy groups for participating in our informational interviews and <br />providing us with valuable information and different perspectives. We are grateful to <br />representatives from Duluth, Olmsted County, and Eden Prairie for participating in a panel <br />discussion and sharing "lessons learned" from their experience in proposing local smoking bans. <br />Appreciation is extended to Diann Kirby for facilitating the panel discussion.
