City Council Regular Meeting — 08/23/04 <br />DRAFT Minutes - Page 16 <br />Minnesota Housing Corporation Executive Director <br />Carolyn Olson (GMHC). <br />9.b Presentation of Housing Award <br />HRA Executive Director Cathy Bennett introduced Ms. <br />LaDonna Boyd, First Vice President and incoming <br />President of the Economic Development Association of <br />Minnesota (EDAM) for presentation of an award to the <br />City of Roseville. <br />Mr. Boyd expressed her pleasure in attending tonight's <br />meeting; and presentation of the EDDY Award to the City <br />of Roseville and the organization's endorsement of the <br />efforts of the City in developing their Master Plan, <br />specifically the recent United Properties/Roseville <br />Coalition of Churches proj ect at Applewood Pointe. <br />Mayor Klausing accepted the award on behalf of the City <br />Council and citizens; and opined that the Applewood <br />Pointe project was a superb example of community, <br />corporate, and neighborhood cooperation and involvement. <br />Mayor Klausing specifically thanked the Planning <br />Commission for their extensive participation and <br />coordination of the process. <br />Pastor George Weinman was present in the audience and <br />recognized by Mayor Klausing for his involvement and <br />advocacy of the process. <br />9.c Summary of Housing Conditions in Roseville <br />City of Roseville's Community Development Director <br />Dennis Welsch provided a pictorial tour of the City's broad <br />housing stock; which included single-family, multi-family, <br />senior housing, family housing, and mixed housing units. <br />Mr. Welsch noted that the diverse style, type and use <br />mixture was a tremendous asset to the City and represented <br />56 years of documented housing plans in the City of <br />Roseville. <br />Presentation materials included a housing history; <br />Presentation of <br />Housing Award <br />Summary of <br />Housing Conditions <br />in Roseville <br />
