REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACT/ON <br />Department Approval: <br />�� <br />Item Description: Application for 2004 Contractor's License <br />� <br />'I .1 <br />7 .� <br />� ,� <br />�.� <br />�. � <br />�1 <br />�.� <br />� <br />3, i <br />DATE: 09-13-04 <br />ITEM N0. :�•$ <br />Agenda Section: <br />Consent <br />Backs�round: <br />City Code Section 307.01 requires that all construction work in the City be done by licensed <br />contractors. <br />City Licensing is required for all residential and commercial building and remodeling contractors <br />(including sign contractors) with the exception of contractors who are licensed by the MN Dept. of <br />Commerce. <br />Licenses are renewed on an annual basis. The City currently has 323 licensed contractors at <br />$25.00 each.
