� ? <br />� � <br />Request for Council Action <br />Date: September 13,2004 <br />Item Number: 3,i <br />Department Approval Manager Approval <br />��� <br />�g��da Section <br />Consent <br />Item Description: Youth Representative on the Parks and Recreation Commission <br />�a�l�r���d; <br />It has been customary for the City Council to appoint a non-voting youth representative to serve a <br />one year term on the Parks and Recreation Commission expiring on July 31 of each year. The term <br />held by departed youth representative Ryan Majerus expired on July 31,2004. Ryan graduated from <br />RAHS and is attending St. John's University threrefore leaving a vacant youth representative <br />position. <br />In May, 2004 the Roseville Area High School was notified of the potential opportunity available for <br />a student. One application was received by Danielle Hernandez, a senior at RAHS, indicating a <br />strong interest in serving in that role. She has attended a meeting to introduce herself and to meet the <br />commissioners and has fully completed an application. Danielle is a board member of the National <br />Honor Society, an active member of several extra curricular activities and has held numerous other <br />volunteer and leadership positions. <br />Council Action Requested: <br />Appoint Danielle Hernandez to serve as a Youth Representative on the Parks and Recreation <br />Commission until July 31, 2005. <br />
