Mr. Brokke noted
that this item had just been finalized, and given the changing
weather, staff was seeking approval tonight, rather than holding
the request for an upcoming meeting.
Mr. Brokke reviewed the request for the equipment replacement,
noting that it was a Park Improvement Program 2004 budgeted
item. Mr. Brokke further noted the location of the park, that staff
had been seeking input from the neighborhood, and had just
finalized receipt of vendor quotes.
Staff recommended that Council approve the quote of vendor,
Flanagan Sales, in an amount not to exceed $25,000, for
replacement of playground equipment at Pocahontas Park.
Discussion items included salvage value of existing equipment;
amenities of the new equipment; and the involvement of the
neighbors in this decision, even though prior notice of the agenda
item had not been provided prior to this requested action.
Participation in
Ramsey County's
Hazard Mitigation
Plan
Agenda Addition
Replacement of
Playground
Equipment at
Pocahontas Park
