A City ordinance requiring the reporting of campaign <br />contributors over $100 aids the Minnesota Election Law because it ensures that in elections for <br />City office the $300 statutory limit is observed. <br />A City ordinance that requires candidate for City office to report campaign <br />contributions greater than $100 does not conflict with stat statute. <br />CONCLUSION <br />It is our opinion that the City may require candidates for City office to disclose <br />campaign contributions greater than $100. <br />Very truly yours, <br />Scott T.
