���.�,�.,� ��� � �-� � 1 �-' � } �� � � <br />�:���.�, <br />City of Roseville <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br />Date: 12/�/04 <br />Item: 7. <br />Campaign Fin� Ordinance <br />AN ORDINANCE ADDING <br />TITLE ONE, SECTION 103.015 <br />CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTION REPORTING <br />THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE ORDAINS: <br />SECTION 1: Title One, Section 103.015 of the Roseville City Code is added as follows: <br />103.015: CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTION REPORTING <br />A. A candidate for election to a City office must file a report with the City Clerk that <br />includes the name of the candidate, the name and address of the person responsible for <br />filing the report; and: <br />1. States the name, address and employer, or occupation if self-employed, of any <br />individual, and the name and address of any committee or organization, which <br />during the previous year has made one or more contributions that in the aggregate <br />are greater than $100, and the amount and date of each contribution; or <br />2. States that in the previous year no individual, committee, or organization has made <br />one or more contributions that in the aggregate are greater than $100. <br />B. The reports required under this section must be filed within 14 days after a candidate <br />receives contributions or mal�es disbursements of more than $750.00 in a calendar year; and by <br />January 31 of each following year until a final report is filed. In a year when the candidate's <br />name appears on the ballot, reports shall be filed: <br />1. Ten days before a primary or special primary; <br />2. Ten days before a general or special election; and <br />3. Thirty days after a general or special election, regardless of whether the candidate <br />won or lost in the primary election. <br />C. A candidate that intentionallyfails to file the report as required in this section is guilty <br />of a misdemeanor. When a candidate fails to file the report by the day it is due, the City Clerk <br />shall immediately notify that candidate of the failure to file. If the report is not filed within <br />five business days of the date the notice is mailed, the City Clerk shall immediately notify the <br />City Attorney of the alleged violation of this section. <br />D. For the purposes of this section, the term "contribution" has the meaning given it in the <br />state statutes constituting the Minnesota Election Law. <br />SECTION 2: Effective date. This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and <br />publication. <br />
