For the existing club house!, the sound level is
estimated t0 bC 3 dBA below a typial nighttime 40 dBA ambient level whtn tbc
windows art closed but 7 dBA above whcn the windows are open. This difFcreace above
the typical nighttime ambient level couJd explain why the band cSt be 6eard when the
windows ae oect at the existing ciub house. The predicted sound 1cvcJ is etpectcd to be
8 dBA below a Ly+pical nighttime ambient lcvel of 40 dBA with e new club house even
though it is closer, since the exterior wall and window construction will provide grcater
sound attenuation. At the homes, the sound lvel with the existing club hossc td
windows opea is estunated to be 4 d8A above the typical nighttime ambtnt level, while
tho proposed Clqb house will be 13 d$A below the typical ambient level. If strong
amplifieativa of eowld such as a rock band occurs in the club houx, the levels could be
higher than those in the teIe. For typical music programs expeeted in the club house, the
new contrucaon should p+pvidd improved attenuation characoeristies and keep future
sound levels well blow t6e state noise standards and below a typical nrbat nighttime
ambient kvel of 40 d,BA.
Sincerely,
, _ ~

David aglau
Resident
cluistensen-letda 200012
** TOTA F'fIGE.03 **
