Department Approval <br />Item Description: <br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />Manager Reviewed <br />���� <br />Arbor Day Proclamation <br />DATE: 3/27/00 <br />ITEM NO: C-1 <br />Agenda Section: <br />Consent <br />BACKGROUND <br />As a part of our Tree City USA membership, each year the City of Roseville proclaims a <br />specific day as Arbor Day in order to recognize the importance of trees and to promote <br />their proper care and the planting of many additional appropriate tree species to replace <br />the thousands that have been lost over'the years. <br />POLICY OBJECTIVE <br />This is consistent with the policy adopted many years ago of annually proclaiming Arbor <br />Day. <br />FINANCIAL IMPLICATION <br />None <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends that Friday, April 28, 2000 be named Roseville Arbor Day. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Motion adopting the proclamation. <br />
