In doing these
projections, we reflected certain benefit changes to the plan (provided by Roseville
Firefighters' Relief Association) and assumed a$1 increase in benefit level up to $27 per year
of service. The benefit changes that occurred are: eliminating the service cap of 30 years on
the monthly service pension, changing the temporary disability benefit to 1/30` of the monthly
20 year pension (maximum of 26 weeks) from $10 per day (maximum of 26 weeks), changing
the death benefit-due to active duty to 1/10' of the 20 year service pension from $4,000, and
changing the death benefit-causes other than active duty to U20` of the 20 year service
pension (maximum of 10 years) from $750 per year of service (maximum of 10 years).
The Association will no longer be overfunded at a benefit level of $27 per year of service and
the minimum contribution will be $173,468. These estimates are based on participant data and
assets used for the January 1, 2000 actuarial valuation.
If you like to discuss these proj ections or have any questions, please call me at (612j 397-
4248.
Sincerely,

Matthew D.
