i CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />2 ORDINANCE N0. <br />4 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE X, CHAPTERS 1009 <br />s AND 1014 OF THE ROSEVILLE CITY CODE CONCERNING <br />6 DEFINITIONS, SIGNS AND ADMINISTRATIVE PROCEDURES <br />g THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE ORDAINS: <br />io SECTION <br />11 f0110WS: <br />12 <br />Chapter 1009.01 of the Roseville City Code is amended to read as <br />i3 1009.01: PERMITS REQUIRED: <br />14 Signs are permitted in all use districts subject to the provisions of this Chapter. No "sign" <br />is as herein defined shall be erected or attached to a structure, fence or wall without a <br />� 6 permit from the Chief Code Enforcement Officer. except that one non-commercial si�n <br />i� no lar�er than six square feet and no hi�her than six feet tall mav be displaved on anv lot <br />�8 in all use districts without obtainin�a permit from the Chief Code Enforcement Officer. <br />19 Additionallv. where this Chapter allows anv commercial si�n. a non-commercial si�n <br />2o meetin� the same size, location, and other standards shall be allowed. Real estate and <br />2� political signs in R-1 and R-2 Zoning shall also be exempt from this requirement. <br />22 Applications for si�n permits will be processed in accordance with Minnesota Statutes <br />23 Section 15.99 and Section 1014.04 of the Cit, Code. Section 1009.02 of the Roseville City Code is amended by <br />26 modifying and adding the following definitions: <br />2� <br />2g COMMERCIAL SIGNS: Communicative devices that seek to draw attention to or <br />29 bromote a commercial_ business or economic interest or activitv in contrast to non- <br />3 o commercial signs that ex�ress an o�inion or view�oint of a social or �olitical nature. <br />31 <br />32 FLAGS: A piece of cloth or bunting varying in color and design, used as a symbol, <br />33 standard, emblem or insignia,_ or containing te�t other than that associated with a <br />34 commercial. business or economic interest or activitV ��8�7��3�-& o <br />35 , , , , , , <br />36 , <br />3 7 &1�- <br />3 g ���e�e�.
