EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF CITY COUNCIL OF CITY OF ROSEVILLE RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, was held in the City Hall in said C�ty on Monday, May 22, 2000 at 6:30 o'clock p.m. The following members were present: and the following were absent: Council member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION XXXX RESOLUTION REJECTING BIDS AND ORDERING RE-BID FOR LARPENTEUR AVENUE STREETSCAPE, CITY PROJECT P-SW-99-14 WHEREAS, on December 13, 1999, the City Council approved plans and specifications and authorized the advertisement for bids for Larpenteur Avenue Streetscape project; AND WHEREAS, the bids for this project were opened on Tuesday, May 16, 2000; AND WHEREAS, only one bid was received from Jay Brothers for $2,167,750.05; AND WHEREAS, the project specifications limit the amount of contractor mobilization to 5% of the total project amount, Jay Brothers, Inc. bid includes mobilization of approximately 9%; AND WHEREAS, the bulk of the project is expected to be constructed after September 5, 2040; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Council rejects the bid from Jay Brothers, Inc. opened on May 16, 2000 and; BE IT FURTHUR RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota: The City Manager shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the Roseville Review, the official newspaper, and in the Construction Bulletin, an advertisement for bids. The advertisement for bids for this project shall be published as required by law, shall specify the work to be done, shall call the bids on the basis of cash payment for such work, �hal1 state that the bids will be received by the City Manager and Public Works Director as follows: Larpenteur Avenue Streetscape June 20, 2000, at 11:00 a.m. at which time they will be publicly opened in the City Hall by the City Manager and subsequently be considered by the Council; and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the Manager and accompanied by a cash deposit, certified check or bid bond payable to the City of Roseville for ten percent of the amount of such bid.
