��,oc�c.��.��'�o� <br />NATIONAL riIGHT OUT 2000 <br />WHEREAS, the National Association of �Town Watch (NAT'i� is sponsoring a <br />unique, nationwide crime, drug and violence prevention program on August I, 2000 called <br />"National Night Out", and <br />WHEREAS, the "1 7th Annual National Night Out"provides a unique opportunity for <br />Roseville to join forces with thousands of other communities across the country in promoting <br />cooperative, police-conrmunity crime and drug prevention efforts; and <br />WHEREAS, Neighborhood Watch plays a vital role in assisting the Roseville Police <br />through joint crime, drug and violence prevention efforts in Roseville and is supporting <br />"Nationa[ Night Out 2000" locally; and <br />WHEREAS, it is essential that all citizens of �Roseville be aware of � the importance of � <br />crime prevention programs and the impact that their participation can have on reducing <br />crime, drugs and violence in Roseviile; and <br />WHEREAS, police- comneunity partnerships, neighborhood sajety, awareness and <br />cooperation are important themes of the "Nationa[ Night Oret"program; <br />NOW, THEREFORE WE, THE ROSEVILLE MAYORAND CITY COUNCIL, do <br />hereby call upon ail citizens of Roseville to join ROSEVILLE NEIGHBORHODD WATCH <br />GROUPS and the National Association of Town Watch in suppotting "1 7th Annual National <br />Night Dut" on August 1, 2000. <br />FURTHER, LET IT BE RESOLVED THAT, WE, ROSET�ILLE MAYOR AND CITY <br />COUNCIL, do hereby proclaim Tuesday, August I, 2000 as "NATIONAL NIGHT OUT" in <br />ROSEVILLE. <br />Mayor <br />City Manager <br />
