EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly held on the 24th day of July 2000, at 6:30 <br />p. m. <br />The following members were present: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AN INTERIM USE PERMIT <br />FOR FAMILY ACADEMY CHARTER SCHOOL FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br />ADVENT LUTHERAN CHURCH, 3000 HAMLINE AVENUE (PF3237) <br />WHEREAS, Family Academy Charter School has requested an Interim Use Permit to <br />allow the temporary placement of a modular classroom facility in the southeast corner of the <br />eastern parking lot of Advent Lutheran Church; and <br />WHEREAS, Advent Lutheran Church has two parking lots. The first lot is located off of <br />Hamline Avenue and will provide the main entrance to the Charter School. This parking lot will <br />also be used for the student bus drop-off. The second lot is located off of Josephine Road. This <br />parking lot is adjacent to the main entrance to the church. The modular unit will be located in <br />the southeast corner of this parking lot. Adjacent to the east of the parking lot is a large wooded <br />area and city park <br />WHEREAS, the modular classroom facility proposed would accommodate eight <br />classrooms, be approximately 68 feet wide by 126 feet long (8, 568 square feet) and eliminate up <br />to 56 off-street parking spaces; and <br />WHEREAS, Advent Lutheran Church has an approximate sanctuary seating capacity of <br />500 seats, and a parking requirement of 143 off-street parking spaces, and an existing off-street <br />parking of approximately 200 spaces; and <br />WHEREAS, the loss of up to 56 off-street parking spaces will not pose parking problem <br />for the congregation at Advent Lutheran Church; and <br />WHEREAS, the proposed interim use of the property for temporary classrooms will have <br />a minimal impact on parking and traffic in the area, since the activity will take place during off- <br />peak hours; and <br />
