Estimate number of youth soccer players within your jurisdiction <br />In the Roseville jurisdiction there are approximately 2100 youth soccer players. <br />F <br />Identrfy the number of soccer fields available wrthrn your jurisdiction to serve youth <br />soccer p layers. <br />The City of Roseville has access to seven fields for soccer use. The City facilities are <br />exclusively for Roseville recreation programs and open use. The School District <br />facilities are prioritized by the School District first and Roseville Recreation second. <br />Roseville Parks and Recreation Facilities <br />. Central Park — Dale 2 Soccer/Football youth <br />. Langton Lake Park 1 Soccer/Football youth/adult <br />Cooperative Facilities — Roseville School District and Roseville Parks and Recreation <br />. Location map <br />Refer to attachment A. <br />Site plan of the proposed soccer facility <br />Refer to attachment B. <br />Narrative description of the project <br />The City of Roseville is requesting grant funding to develop a full-sized youth soccer <br />field at Lexington Park Lexington Park is a neighborhood park of about eight acres. <br />It currently is going through the planning stages for redevelopment. The proposed <br />master plan includes a multipurpose field for softball and soccer, play structure and <br />water play area, a multipurpose building, an ice rink, a basketball court and a 25 stall <br />parking lot. Lexington Park is on the Lesington pathway, a very significant <br />north/south corridor that links to the regional trail system to the north and south. <br />The City is proposing to develop the multipurpose field to accommodate a full-sized <br />soccer field with an irrigation system and a portion of the parking lot as part of Phase <br />One of the master plan development. The City is planning to develop the remainder <br />of the Lesington Park master plan over the nest few years. When fully developed <br />Lexington Park will be significant addition to the Roseville park system that will <br />greatly impact the recreational opportwlities in the area. The proposed improvements <br />would start in the summer of 200 1 with public access to the soccer fields in the <br />spring of 2002. <br />
