���� <br />J�, <br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />Department Approval <br />,l ,� <br />Item Description: Annual City Sign Permits for 2010 <br />Date: 1-4-10 <br />Item No.: 7.j <br />City Manager Approval <br />�► ' <br />BACKGROUND <br />The City Council annually approves sign permits for City events held throughout the year by multiple <br />City Departments. The City Code, Signage Section 1009.003A2 states "City and Public Signs: Except <br />for traffic-related signage, all permanent city, school or other governmental unit signage including flags <br />must be approved by the City Council." <br />For 2010 the Departments prepared the attached list of signage requirements for the entire year, <br />recognizing that some events may change dates or times slightly. <br />The signs and displays must adhere to setback provisions, except for directional signage, which may be <br />at the property line. <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends the Council approve the 2010 sign permit for City uses and promotions as listed in <br />the attached summary. <br />REQUESTED COUNCIL ACTION <br />By motion, approve the 2010 sign permit for City uses and promotions as listed in the 2010 Sign <br />Summary, dated O1/4/10. <br />Prepared by <br />Attachments <br />Lonnie Brokke, Director of Parks and Recreation <br />A: Listing of Temporary Signage <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />
