EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING
OF THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE

Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City
of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 7th day of December,
2009, at 6:00 p.m.
The following members were present: Johnson, Roe, Ihlan, Pust, Klausing; and the
following were absent: none.
Member Roe introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION No. 10768
DECLARING THE BUILDING LOCATED AT 2750 SNELLING AVENUE A
HAZARDOUS BUILDING AND REQUIRING IT'S REPAIR OR RAZING.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Minn. Stat. 463.15 and 463.261 the City Council of Roseville
finds the building located at 2750 Snelling Avenue to be a hazardous building for the
following reasons:
+ The parking lot storm sewer has a leak that is causing an asphalt section to
erode away. Violation of City Code sections 906.OS.A&B.
• The structure's doors are boarded over with unpainted/decaying plywood.
Violation of City Code Sections 906.OS.A&C.
• Vandals removed soffit boards and doors to gain entry. Temporary patches
have been placed over holes and doors but permanent repairs have not been
completed. Violation of City Code Sections 906.OS.A&C.
• Vandals have broken glass, destroyed bathroom fixtures, mirrors, doors,
booths, whole walls, etc. Litter and debris are everywhere. Virtually
everything inside the building has been damaged or destroyed. It is dangerous
to walk through the interior due to the broken glass, sharp protruding objects
and scattered debris. Violation of City Code Section 906.OS.E.
• Vandals have been removing interior wood paneling and lighting fires inside
the building. This is primarily a wooden structure and these interior camp-
fires could easily result in a very large fire engulfing the entire structure. A
large fire of this type would also threaten to engulf adjacent buildings and
businesses. Violation of City Code Sections 906.OS.A&E.
