Regular City Council Meeting <br />Monday, January 11, 2010 <br />Page 21 <br />tion and costs; however, he expressed his interest in staff advising the City Coun- <br />cil at their earliest opportunity of the interest of City of Little Canada. <br />Councilmember Roe expressed interest in proceeding with the proposed action as <br />indicated in the motion language, and not tabling the issue until Little Canada <br />provided their interest in proceeding. <br />Councilmember Johnson concurred with Councilmember Roe, noting that the <br />process could be stopped at any time. <br />Mr. Schwartz advised that, in order to move forward, the project team needed this <br />information from Xcel to complete final designs. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Pust; Roe; Johnson; Ihlan; and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />14. City Manager Future Agenda Review <br />City Manager Malinen reviewed upcoming agenda items. <br />City Manager Malinen requested City Council direction on the January 25, 2010 agenda <br />related to the logistics of legislative representatives attending. <br />Councilmember Roe, with consensus by fellow Councilmembers, suggested that the leg- <br />islative delegation be hosted during Agenda Item 10 entitled, "Presentations" in order to <br />respect their time and other obligations. <br />City Manager Malinen noted that details were still being worked out for the annual stra- <br />tegic meeting to be held on Saturday, February 13, 2010, with additional information <br />forthcoming. <br />City Manager Malinen noted that Mayor Klausing was scheduled to present his annual <br />State of the City Address on February 22, at 5:30 p.m. <br />15. Councilmember-Initiated Items for Future Meetings <br />Councilmember Ihlan requested a discussion on the January 25, 2010 agenda of commer- <br />cial uses on public sites, including the City Hall campus and parks properties; including a <br />review of the Comprehensive Plan's guidance, to see if policy adjustments were desir- <br />able. <br />Mayor Klausing clarified with Councilmember Ihlan her preference for staff materials to <br />be provided for that discussion. <br />
