He has sta�ed and is providing a writ�en vpinic�n to <br />the ef�ect that the Counc�! does not have the aut�ority to partic��ate <br />in the repair of se�-vice (ate�als wifihout changing the city eode. <br />Changing the city code could have sigr�ificant cost implications that <br />the Council would n�ed to understand andconsider. V�e wii� know <br />in a few weeks whether the Council is interested in 3�oking at code <br />channges. The current discu5s�on was precipita�ed by a request for <br />participation in a collapsed service lateral under the concrete <br />pavement on County Road B. I can let yQU know if it Ivoks like there <br />wi#I be any changes but for now as 5taf� I believe the LMCIT decision <br />to deny is what we are obligated to stand by. <br />There is na question your ser�ice is much shallower in the roadway <br />than the normal 7�eet af co��r or more.
