13uubdi nt ou 13 EXTRACT O�' MINUTES OF IV�EETING OF' THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE C�TY OF ROSEVTLLE �*�*�*:�:�*�*�*x�*�* Pursuant to due call and notice thereaf, a regular meeiing of the City Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 1$th day of May, 20d9, at 6:00 p.m. The following rnembers were present: Rae, ]ohnson, Ihlan, Pust and Klausing anci the following were absent: none. Mayor Kiausing introdt�ced tI�e follawing resolution and mo�ved its adoption: RESOLUTION No. i071 �. Resolution Authariz'rng the City Manager fo Execute Certain Grant Applicatio�s or� behalf of the City of Roseville WHEREAS, the City of Roseville has applied for a variety of grarits which benefit the City; and. WHEREAS, the Roseville Czty Council encourages staff to cont�nue to identiify and apply for grants as a means to fund the policies, priorities and programs ofthe City, as establrshed by �ctions of the Council; and WHEREAS, grant submittals sometimes require verification of authority to submit an application on behali o� �he City, and the required timeframes for subrnittal sometimes rnay not allow for Council authorization prior to application deadlines. NOW, THEREFOI�E, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Roseville does hereby authorize the Cit� Manager to execute grant applicatrons on b�hali of the City af Roseville in cases where Council authorizatian is not required or is required but cannot be practically obtained prior to ai� apptication c�eadIine, and v�here any matching funds �r other city financial o�ligation related to the grant are accounted for either in the �ity budget or by previous Council action; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Manager will report any such grant applications to the City Council after the appiicatron is submitted: The nnotzon for the adaption of the faregoing resoIution was duly seconded by Member �toe, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in �avor thereof: Roe, Johnson, Ihlan, Pust anc� Klausing and the follawing vated against the same: none.
