EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF THE <br />CITY .COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br />of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 22"d day of February, <br />2010, at 6:00 p.m. <br />The following members were present: Johnson, Pust, Roe, and Klausing. <br />and the following were absent: Ihlan. <br />Member Klausing introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION No. 10791 <br />RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF AEON'S APPLICATION FOR RAMSEY <br />COUNTY FUNDS IN 2010 FOR SIENNA GREEN PHASE II <br />WHEREAS, the Sienna Green Apartments (formerly known as the Har Mar Apartments), <br />located at 2225 Snelling Avenue in the City of Roseville, was identified by the City as an <br />apartment complex in need of renovation; and <br />WHEREAS, the northern portion of the property is an appropriate location for the <br />development of additional affordable housing; and <br />WHEREAS, Aeon, a reputable Twin Cities affordable housing developer, has proposed <br />to construct a new building, which will feature affordable two-bedroom and three- <br />bedroom rental apartments for low-income residents; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has granted final approval for this new building <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City of Roseville hereby supports <br />and strongly recommends funding to Aeon for the development of Sienna Green Phase II <br />with the goals of adding to the existing unit mix, developing a vacant portion of the <br />property, constructing ahigh-quality building, adding landscaping, and improving curb <br />appeal to convey current apartment community trends. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member <br />Johnson, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Johnson, Pust, Roe, and Klausing. <br />and the following voted against the same: None. <br />WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
