<br />Planning Commission Board Meeting <br />City Council Chambers, 2660 Civic Center Drive <br />Minutes - Wednesday, April 01, 2009 <br />1. Call to Order <br />Chair Doherty called to order the Planning Commission meeting at 6:30 p.m. and reviewed the <br />role and purpose of the Planning Commission. <br />2. Oath of Office <br />Chair Doherty administered the Oath of Office to City Council-reappointed Commissioner Joe <br />Wozniak and two newly-appointed Commissioners Glenn Cook and John Gisselquist <br />respectively; and each was welcomed by fellow Commissioners. <br />3. Roll Call & Introductions <br />Community Development Director Patrick Trudgeon called the Roll. <br />Members Present: Thomas Gottfried; Joe Wozniak; Glenn Cook; Daniel Boerigter; John <br />Gisselquist; and Chair Jim Doherty. <br />Members Absent: Commissioner Andre Best. <br />Staff present: Community Development Director Patrick Trudgeon; Associate Planner Bryan <br />Lloyd; and City Engineer Debra Bloom. <br />4. Review of Minutes <br />Corrections: <br />Page 7, line 349 (Doherty) <br /> Correct Motion to read; “Member Boerigter moved, seconded by Member Doherty…” <br />? <br />MOTION <br />Member Boerigter moved, seconded by Member Wozniak to approve meeting minutes of <br />March 04, 2009 as amended. <br />Ayes: 4 <br />Nays: 0 <br />Abstentions: 2 (Cook and Gisselquist) <br />Motion carried. <br />5. Communications and Recognitions <br />a. From the Public (Public Comment on items not on the agenda) <br />No one from the public appeared. <br />b. From the Commission or Staff <br />None. <br />6. Public Hearings <br />Chair Doherty provided a brief summary of the public hearing process for land use cases before <br />the Commission. <br />a. PLANNING FILE 09-009 <br />Request by Ehlers & Associates, Inc. for approval of an easement vacation at 3060 <br />Centre Pointe Drive to allow an office expansion that necessitates a redesigned <br />storm water management system and a newly-dedicated drainage easement. <br />Chair Doherty opened the Public Hearing for Planning File 09-009 (6:40 p.m.). <br />Associate Planner Bryan Lloyd reviewed staff’s analysis of the request by Ehlers and <br />Associates for vacation of a utility and drainage easement for the storm water <br />management pond in the southeast corner of their property at 3060 Centre Pointe Drive. <br />Mr. Lloyd advised that Ehlers desired to expand their office building in compliance with <br />the PUD, and that the expansion would require the storm water management pond to be <br /> <br />
