Planning Commission Meeting <br />Minutes – Wednesday, June 03, 2009 <br />Page 14 <br />MOTION <br />Member Gottfried moved, seconded by Member Wozniak to RECOMMEND TO THE <br />CITY COUNCIL that the project be LEED Certified, as presented at this meeting. <br />Roll Call Vote (Amendment) <br />Ayes: 2 (Wozniak; Gottfried) <br />Nays: 4 (Best; Cook; Doherty; Boerigter; Gisselquist) <br />Motion failed. <br />MOTION <br />Member Wozniak moved, seconded by Member Gottfried to RECOMMEND TO THE <br />CITY COUNCIL friendly amendment of the original motion that the building be <br />LEED certified or the equivalent thereof; with the makers of the original motion, <br />Members Boerigter and Doherty, accepting the amendment. <br />Roll Call Vote (Original motion as amended) <br />Ayes: 5 (Best; Cook; Doherty; Boerigter; Gisselquist) <br />Nays: 2 (Gottfried; Wozniak) <br />Motion carried. <br />Vice Chair Boerigter advised that the Case was scheduled to be heard at the City Council <br />meeting of June 29, 2009. <br />e. PROJECT FILE 0021 <br />Request by City of Roseville to vacate a portion of the Mount Ridge Road right-of- <br />way adjacent to 1947 and 2001 County Road C and 2690 Cleveland Avenue in <br />preparation for infrastructure improvements in the Twin Lakes area <br />Vice Chair Boerigter opened the Public Hearing for Planning File 09-012 at 10:11 p.m. <br />City Planner Paschke reviewed staff’s request for the VACATION of an undeveloped <br />portion of Mount Ridge Road right-of-way lying south of Twin Lakes Parkway, and <br />conveyance of land for road purposes; and recommended approval; based on the based <br />on the comments and findings of Section 4 of the project report dated June 03, 2009. <br />Discussion included clarifying the proposed entrance location; current razing of some <br />structures in the area; potential for a private, rather than public, roadway as part of a <br />future development project; and identification of a pathway to link up to the traffic circle as <br />supported by the Twin Lakes Master Plan and Urban Design Guidelines; and proposed <br />full signalization from Prior Avenue to County Road C. <br />Public Comment <br />No one appeared to speak for or against. <br />Vice Chair Boerigter closed the Public Hearing for Project File 0021. <br />MOTION <br />Member Boerigter moved, seconded by Member Doherty to RECOMMEND TO THE <br />CITY COUNCIL APPROVAL of the VACATION of public road right-of-way as shown <br />on Attachment B and legally described in Attachment C; based on the comments <br />and findings of the project report dated June 3, 2009. <br />Ayes: 7 <br />Nays: 0 <br />Motion carried. <br />MOTION <br />Member Boerigter moved, seconded by Member Doherty to RECOMMEND TO THE <br />CITY COUNCIL APPROVAL of DEEDING the two (2) ten foot (10’) strips as shown in <br />Attachment B, legally described in Attachment C, to the adjoining property owners; <br />based on the comments and findings of the project report dated June 3, 2009. <br />Ayes: 7 <br />Nays: 0 <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />
