Department Approval <br />_l-�'�- <br />Item Description <br />g i, <br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />Date: 03/08/10 <br />Item No.: 7.g <br />City Manager Approval <br />Award 2010 Street Maintenance Materials and Contractual Concrete <br />And Paving Bids <br />BACKGROUND <br />Annually, the Street Maintenance Division receives bids for materials that are used for street <br />maintenance operations and for contractual concrete and asphalt reclamation/ asphalt paving <br />work Materials bid include aggregate for seal coating, bituminous materials for road repair, <br />asphalt emulsion and aggregate for seal coating, and Class 5 gravel for base repair. The concrete <br />repairs include curb and gutter repairs and sidewalk panel replacement. The contractual paving <br />related bids are for replacement and repair of pathways and parking lots, as well as <br />miscellaneous patching.
