EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br />of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 22nd day of February <br />22, 2010, at 6:00 p.m. <br />The following members were present: Johnson, Pust, Roe and Klausing <br />and the following were absent: Ihlan. <br />Mayor Klausing introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION No. 10788 <br />Resolution Ratifying the Roseville Firefighter's Relief Association Bylaw Updates <br />for Compliance with Changes in the following State Statutes <br />Minn. Stat. § 424A.02, subd. 9 -Limitations of Ancillary Benefits <br />Minn. Stat. § 424A.05, subd. 3 -Funeral Benefit Authority <br />Minn. Stat. § 424A.001, subd. 6 -Surviving Spouse Definition <br />WHEREAS, Bylaw changes were proposed and approved by the Roseville Firefighter's <br />Relief Association Members in accordance with the conditions of the <br />Bylaws; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 61 of the Bylaws, "any amendment of these Bylaws <br />which would affect the amount, manner, or conditions for qualification for <br />service pensions or other retirement benefits ...shall be effective only after <br />it has been ratified by the governing body of the City of Roseville"; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Roseville City Council ratifies <br />changes in Sections 40, 41, 49, and 64 of the Roseville Firefighter's <br />Relief Association Bylaws to bring them into compliance with changes in <br />state statutes, as approved by the Association Board Trustees. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member <br />Johnson, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Johnson, Pust, Roe and Klausing <br />and the following voted against the same: none. <br />WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
