Roseville HRA Staff Quarterly Report <br />July - September 2007 <br /> <br /> <br />HRA Staff 3 rd Quarter Highlights: <br /> <br /> <br />During the third quarter of 2007, the Executiv e Director met with the HRA at a special <br />meeting in August to discuss recommendations on Imagine Roseville 2025 strategies and <br />the 2008 HRA budget and levy proposal. The Executive Director, along with the HRA <br />Chair and Interim Community Development Director, presented the request for the <br />maximum HRA levy to the City Council at their September 10 meeting. The Council <br />approved a preliminary levy amount less than requested, but still sufficient to provide <br />funding to the Har Mar Apartment rehabilitation project, maintain existing programs and <br />provide for some additional funding. <br /> <br />Cathy Bennett ended her accomplished tenure as the HRA Executive Director after the <br />September HRA meeting. Interim Community Development Director Mike Darrow will step <br />into the Executive Director role effective Oc tober 2007. Cathy will remain involved during <br />the HRA’s strategic planning process. <br /> <br />The HRA Administrative Coordinator began working with the Home & Garden Fair <br />Coordinating Committee to organize next year’s fair, which will be held on February 23, <br />2008. Early registration packets have been ma iled to last year’s exhibitors and booths <br />are expected to fill quickly. <br /> <br />In September, the HRA provided funds to repair and repaint the dilapidated shed of an <br />elderly resident. Volunteers from the Senior Chore Program of Northwest Youth and <br />Family Services sawed, pounded, painted and replaced boards and siding on the old shed <br />giving it new life.
