Motion: Member Pust moved, seconded by Member Tracy to approve the Multi-Family Rental <br />Rehabilitation Loan Program as presented by staff with the four program guideline amendments as <br />de�ned by Ms. Kelsey. <br />Ayes: 6 <br />Nays: 0 <br />Motion carried. <br />b. Discuss 2009 Budget <br />Mr. Trudgeon summarized the 2009 RHRA budget and levy as prepared by staf£ Mr. Trudgeon <br />noted that the proposed levy of $358,000.00 was significantly lower than the maximum levy the <br />RHRA can impose which is $836,639.00. Mr. Trudgeon also noted that this budget is a 40% <br />reduction from last year while still enabling the RHRA to focus on providing effective services <br />and reach its goals set by the Strategic Plan. <br />Mr. Trudgeon indicated that the City Council would hear the RHRA budget and levy proposal at <br />its August 25 meeting and would adopt a preliminary budget on either September 8 or September <br />15. <br />Member Pust asked for clarification of the funds earmarked for the Har Mar Apartments project. <br />Motion: Member Tracy moved, seconded by Member Maschka to adopt the 2009 Budget as <br />presented. <br />Ayes: 6 <br />Nays: 0 <br />Motion carried. <br />9. Information Reports & Other Business (Verbal Reports by Staff and Board Members): <br />a. Staff Reports <br />Mr. Trudgeon presented the board with a bench handout from the city's bond attorney, Mary Ippel, which <br />addresses the ability of the RHRA to bond. Mr. Trudgeon suggested staff bring Ms. Ippel before the <br />board for a more in-depth discussion on bonding. <br />Ms. Kelsey presented the board with some of the marketing materials that were passed out by staff at the <br />city's National Night Out celebration. Ms. Kelsey noted that a flyer advertising the RHRA-sponsored <br />energy efficiency workshop on September 20 had been inserted into the Roseville Review and will be <br />sent home with children in the Roseville School District. Member Pust complimented Mr. Hornik's work <br />on the flyer. <br />Ms. Kelsey presented a bench handout listing sheriff sales that have occurred in Ramsey County since <br />January 1, 2008. <br />Ms. Kelsey noted that staff has explored other organizations to service RHRA loan programs per the <br />board's direction at the last meeting. Ms. Kelsey indicated that another organization could service the <br />loans; however, this organization currently has no experience working in Ramsey County. Ms. Pust <br />suggested revisiting this organization once it has gained more experience in Ramsey County. <br />
