Roseville Public Works, Environment and <br />Transportation Commission <br />Agenda Item <br />Date: January 22, 2008 Item No: b <br />Item Description: Parking Ordinance Discussion <br />The last PWETC meeting included a brief discussion of potential changes to the City's parking <br />ordinance restricting overnight parking. This issue had been forwarded tot eh Commission from <br />the City Council, After that discussion, staff clarified the request of the Commission from the <br />Council. The Council asked the Commission to report back with a timeframe and potential <br />issues to discuss if the Commission were to study parking issues. <br />Due to this clarification, we did not advertise for public input at this meeting. The Council did <br />discuss this item again briefly in December. Two news articles have run in the Roseville Review <br />since then and have generated considerable response, bath for and against parking restrictions. <br />We have tallied the responses in the attached spreadsheet. We have also mapped the location of <br />the responses on the attached map for purposes of understanding any unique circumstances due <br />to location or land use. <br />We anticipate a discussion by the Commission for response to the City Council. <br />Recommended Action: <br />Formulate issue list and timeframe for final recommendation or response. <br />
