Chair DeBenedet said he thought it was <br />worthwhile and good to get the feedback they did. <br />Transit for Livable Communities Livable Streets Grant Award <br />Duane Schwartz talked about the pathway grant received that would <br />connect the Rosedale area with downtown Minneapolis. <br />Green Community Awards and Tour <br />M.r. Schwartz spoke on the awards and how two of the winners were <br />Roseville residents. Tours will be August 2 and 3. <br />Pathwa Master Plan U date <br />Deb Bloom updated the Commission on the progress of the update. <br />Ramse Coun Trans ortation Im rovement Pro ram <br />Information was provided on Ramsey County projects. <br />5ne11inQ Avenue <br />Sheryl Fairbanks, 1957 Snelling Avenue, asked for an update on the <br />Snelling Avenue project and if they were planning on closing the B and <br />Snelling intersection. Ms. Bloom. spoke on what she knows of the <br />Mn/DOT project. Ms. Fairbanks also objects to the concrete safety barrier <br />recently constructed along Snelling. Mr. Schwartz said staff would. <br />continue to work with Mn/DOT on the aesthetics of the concrete barrier. <br />Coun Road C Streetsca e <br />Ms. Bloom updated the Commission on the streetscape project.. The <br />project will be completed soon. Plants and trees are under warranty far <br />two years. Trees are- planted the recommended. distance apart for the <br />species. <br />5. Comprehensive Plan Chapters Review <br />.lamie Radel from the Community Development Department was in <br />attendance to discuss the comp plan and presented information on the <br />process. Deb Bloom and Duane Schwartz then went into detail regarding <br />the Public Works issues. <br />Member Vanderwall suggested. that since there was a reference to Xcel in <br />the report that there should also be a reference to specific cable, video and <br />data networks. Ms. Bloom said they would take out the Xcel reference <br />because the report already was dealing with all utilities. <br />Member Stenlund suggested adding reasons for having utility lines either <br />above or below ground so residents know all the details and. know why to <br />choose one over the other. <br />Page 2. of 3 <br />
