3I <br />38 <br />~~ POLICY OBJECTIVE <br />yo The City participates in development of transportation projects within its borders to ensure the needs of <br />~~ its residents and businesses are represented. Project development considers the need for all modes of <br />~z transportation and impacts on adjacent properties. <br />~s STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br />~~ Staff has represented the City of Roseville in the preliminary design process for this project. We are <br />~s supportive of the layout being presented as the preferred alternative. This alternative- has the best <br />ac operational characteristics to improve traffic flow in this area and accommodate the predicted 2030 <br />4~ traffic volumes. Staff recarnmends the Council support this design for the Rice Street interchange and <br />4a identify any additional concerns for consideration in the design. process. <br />~p <br />~o REQUESTED COUNCIL ACTION <br />~, Motion of support for the offset single point interchange as presented for Rice Street and Highway 36 <br />~z and to direct staff to continue to work with the project team to address concerns identified. <br />Prepared. by: Duane Schwartz, Public Works Director <br />Attachments: Interchange Layout <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />
