,289 • Final design. Rain garden and other storm water Best Management Practice (BMP) <br />290 locations will be finalized, and designs prepared for each site. Final design. will. also <br />291 include- the expansion of Rosewood Pond and improvements to the Midland Hills <br />292 Condominium Pond, as determined by the additional study. Since Rosewood. Pond is <br />293 a delineated wetland, approval will be required from the Rice Creek Watershed <br />294 District and the DNR for any improvements or enhancements. WSB will work <br />295 through the required permitting process with all agencies involved. <br />296 • Public participation. Neighborhood meetings and individual meetings will be held <br />2.97 with rain garden recipients during the design process to discuss the appropriate design <br />298 for each site. <br />299 <br />300 III. 2008 New Problem Areas <br />301 One of the goals from the City's CSWMP is to provide flood protection for all residents <br />302 and structures as well as protect the integrity of conveyance channels and storm water <br />303 detention areas. Many different policies were identified in the plan to accomplish this. <br />304 For the purposes of this report, we want to discuss one in particular. <br />305 Policy 1.9 -Developer responsibility for addressing existing storm water problems <br />306 l;or development and redevelopment projects affecting storm water problem areas <br />347 identified in this CSWMP, the City requires the developer to incorporate such practices <br />308 as are necessary to resolve a proportionate share of the problem. <br />309 We did not identify any new problem areas in 2008. <br />310 IV, 2008 City Projects <br />311 A. City Project No. 07-02: Neighborhood 10 Reconstruction <br />312 To meet Rice Creek Watershed District (RCWD) requirements, the City constructed 5 <br />313 rain. gardens as a part of this project. <br />314 B. City Project No. OS-04: PMP Mih and Overlay Project <br />315 To meet Rice Creek Watershed District (RCWD) requirements, the City constructed 16 <br />316 rain gardens as a part of this project. <br />317 V, 2008 Redevelopment Projects: <br />318 hach year the City reviews a redevelopment anal development plans to ensure that they <br />319 meet all of the policies outlined in the CSWMP. What follows are descriptions of the <br />320 redevelopment projects that were completed in 2008 that required storm water <br />321 improvements. <br />322 A. Gold Pagle, ]233 Larpenteur Avenue <br />323 This was the construction of an addition and reconstruction of the parking lot for this <br />324 business. To meet storm water requirements, the owner constructed an underground <br />325 storm water retention system to meet the City's storm water requirements.
