Falcon Heights City Hall Parking Lot Reconstruction: <br />Work at this site consists of constructing a permeable asphalt pavement parking lot, two rain gardens and related <br />restoration. The contractor is scheduled to start work next week on the parking lot. <br />Mill and Overlay Projects: <br />The following streets will be worked on this summer: <br />• Prior Avenue, (Larpenteur Ave to cul- de- sac) <br />• Maple Knoll Drive, (Fry St to Garden Ave) <br />• Garden Ave, (Fry St to W Snelling Frontage Rd) <br />• Fry Street, {Maple Knoll Dr to Garden Ave) <br />The work consists of primarily street reconstruction and rehabilitation consisting of roadway mill and overlay, concrete <br />curb and gutter repair, watermain replacement, grading, and bituminous paving. Also included are driveway and boulevard <br />restoration. Xcel Energy will start replacing the gas main in this neighborhood prior to the contractor starting work. The <br />road work will begin right after the 4th of July. <br />Ramsey County Projects- <br />(contact Nick Fischer, Project Engineer, 651-266-7191) <br />-County Road B Mill and Overlay- between Snelling Avenue and Cleveland: This work was completed this week. <br />-Rice Street Mill and Overlay- between Little Canada Road and I-694: The County will be performing a Mill and Overlay of <br />this segment of road starting June 22 (next Monday). <br />MnDOT projects <br />{contact Kent Bernard 651-234-7504) <br />Snelling Ave Mill and Overlay (between Hwy 36 in Roseville and I-694 in Arden Hills) <br />Motorists will first encounter delays due to lane closures on Snelling Avenue (Hwy 51) when an extensive resurfacing and <br />repair project begins Monday, June 8. The project, between Hwy 36 in Roseville and I-694 in Arden Hills, includes repairs <br />and resurfacing of the road, in addition to storm sewer repairs, guardrail replacement and construction of new curb and <br />gutter. <br />The project begins between Ramsey County Road C and 1-694. During the initial stage of work, motorists will encounter <br />shoulder and lane closures. The state has indicated that the highway will be completely closed next weekend (June 26 to <br />June 29). I will provide more detail in next week's update. <br />Snelling Avenue will be closed for two weeks in each direction between Highway 36 and Ramsey County Road C. The <br />northbound roadway will be closed first following the July 4 holiday weekend. During the closures, motorists should follow <br />signed detours. Further information will be communicated prior to full closures. The project will be completed in mid- <br />August, weather depending. <br />TH 280 (Highway 36 to I-94): Hwy 280 will be closed in both directions this weekend between Como Avenue and <br />Interstate 35W as work continues on the roadway in Lauderdale and St. Paul. The highway will close from 10 p.m. Friday, <br />June 19 through 5 a.m. on Monday, June 22, so crews can install storm sewer pipes beneath the roadway north and south <br />of the Larpenteur Avenue bridge. <br />During the full closure, there will be no access to Broadway Ave. Traffic will be able to reach southbound Hwy 280 at Como <br />Avenue and the northbound roadway will be open to Como Avenue. <br />Southbound Hwy 280 traffic wilt detour east on Hwy 36 to southbound I-35E and west on I-94.
