Summary <br />We have helped achieved this goal by eliminating the use of all space heaters, which allows the <br />systems to work as designed and not waste energy offsetting the management system setpoint <br />temperature. <br />Ener~y Management <br />Goal <br />Our goal was to reduce overall energy consumption from 2008. <br />Accomplishment <br />City Hall gas usage decreased 14.4% -Electric usage decreased 1.7%. <br />Maintenance Facility natural gas usage decreased 10.7% -Electric usage decreased 7.6%. <br />These numbers were generated using 270 days of usage beginning January 1 S- in both 2008 and <br />2009. <br />Summary <br />We were able to meet these goals by staff cooperating with the Energy Action Plan in areas <br />such as turning off lights, manually closing overhead doors (not waiting for timers), adjusting. <br />thermostat settings for winter and summer, eliminating the use of personal heating or cooling <br />devices, and by using energy efficient light bulbs and natural lighting, wherever possible. <br />Flat Panel Replacement <br />Goal. <br />Our goal was to upgrade computers and accessories to more efficient models. <br />Accomplishment <br />Out of 150 old CRT monitors, there are approximately 5 left City-wide to replace with more <br />efficient LCD. <br />Summary <br />The monitors left to replace are in areas where they have limited use, therefore they will be <br />replaced when the units fail or hand me down replacements are available. <br />Outside Lights <br />Goal <br />To find th.e best possible outside lighting solutions to fit our needs. <br />2 <br />
