Roseville Public Works, Environment and <br />Transportation Commission <br />Agenda Item <br />Date: January 27, 2009 Item No: 7 <br />Item Description: Rice Street/ Hwy. 36 Interchange Design <br />The Rice Street at Highway 3b interchange preliminary design process is moving at a quicker <br />than expected pace. Alternative layouts have been narrowed and additional traffic modeling has <br />been completed to determine service levels of the feasible alternatives as determined by MnDot <br />and Ramsey County criteria. The modeling also has indicated a single point design functions the <br />best and the project team has indicated this to be the emerging preferred alternative. We are <br />attaching a newsletter that was mailed this week to residents on either side of the corridor. The <br />first public open house is scheduled for February 4'h from 4:30 to 6:30 pm at the Skating Center <br />here in Roseville. Meetings with individual property owners adjacent the project is scheduled for <br />February 12`h to come in and discuss impacts to their parcels and business resulting from the <br />project. We will review the progress so far with you. We will be back for your recommendation <br />at a future date once all public and business input is received and a final recommendation from <br />the project management team determined. <br />Recommended Action: <br />None <br />
