Roseville Public Works, Environment and <br />Transportation Commission <br />Agenda Item <br />Date: March 24, 2009 <br />Item No: 5 <br />Item Description: Rice Street/ Hwy. 36 Interchange Design <br />The Rice Street at Highway 36 interchange preliminary design process is moving at a quicker <br />than expected pace. Alternative layouts have been narrowed to a preferred design by the Project <br />Team based on Technical review and traffic modeling. The offset single point design appears to <br />perform the best. We are at a point that concurrence of the adjacent cities is needed. Public <br />comment has been received on the proposed layouts and little concern was expressed about the <br />offset single point design. We have received a large format layout from the Consultant for review <br />at your meeting. We are requesting specific concerns and recommendations from the <br />Commission be identified to forward the City Council. The Council will be asked for <br />concurrence on this layout at an April City Council meeting. <br />Recommended Action: <br />Discussion of proposed layout and identification of concerns and recommendations to the City <br />Council. <br />
