Selection of Members for Citizen Advisory Group on Rental Housing <br />(HF0036) <br /> <br />Executive Director Bennett noted that this it em was tabled from the April HRA meeting. <br />Bennett provided a summary regarding the ad ditional applications received and the <br />evaluation by the HRA Subcommittee consisting of Jill Bean, Jen Millasovich and Susan <br />Elkins. <br /> <br />Member Bean spoke on behalf of the subcom mittee and passed out their recommendation <br />for each category. She noted the evaluation process of the subcommittee and why they <br />are recommending each person. They received a good distribution of applicants except <br />did not received an applicant from anyone w ho lives in rental property currently in <br />Roseville. They are able to recommend an even distribution of rental and non-rental <br />representatives – 4 each plus commission appointments. <br /> <br />The chair opened the discussion up for quest ions and he thanked the subcommittee for <br />their work in attracting more resident appl icants and review of each to ensure a good <br />quality group. <br /> <br />Motion : Member Millasovich moved, seconded by Member Bean, to appoint the <br />following applicants to the RHRA Citizen Advisory Group. <br /> <br />Citizen Advisory Group - Reco mmendation from HRA Subcommittee <br />Category Applicant Appointed <br />Single Family Rental Property Owner - <br />Non-resident <br />Jim Olson – only application received <br />Duplex, Triplex of Fourplex Owner - <br />resident <br />Cory Schmitt – young resident, owns & <br />lived in duplex but now is a single family <br />resident. He would have both <br />perspectives. He still owns and rents the <br />duplex in Roseville. <br />Resident renting pr operty in Roseville 0 <br />Residents living next to rental property in <br />Roseville – single family <br />Residents living next to rental property in <br />Roseville – multi-family <br />Kevin Kelly – lives next to both duplex <br />and single family rental, fire inspection <br />experience, resident with a younger <br />family. <br />Ron Bartz - stability, experience with all <br />age groups, worked with diverse <br />backgrounds, long time resident – 39
