Member Millasovich asked if a conduct code would have helped. Hoffman explained St. <br />Louis Park uses a cautious approach to address conduct issues through citations. <br />Member Millasovich asked how well received is the program. Hoffman noted that it is very <br />well received and supported by the City Council. He also noted that the city funds block <br />captains and neighborhoods and that it is adequately staffed. <br />Member Kelsey asked if St. Louis Park has an HRA (yes). Did Council initiate this (yes). <br />Hoffman noted that their HRA mostly deals with redevelopment and public housing. The <br />HRA owns 37 housing units. Kelsey asked if there increased liability (minimal). Member <br />Kelsey asked if there duplication of inspections? Hoffman noted that they inspect Section 8 <br />properties separately? Kelsey asked what incentives are to gain compliance? Hoffman noted <br />that there is no specific rebate. <br />Chair Majerus asked if the legal fees are expensive. Hoffman noted that citations and court <br />orders are used, with annual court costs of $20,000 - $30,000. <br />Welsch mentioned that Roseville uses an administrative ticket process. <br />Resident Dorothy Ohnsorg, 2523 Maple Lane, expressed delight with the programs. <br />8. Reports <br />Member Marks explained that the Applewood Pointe project won a state wide award. <br />Executive Director Bennett distributed brochures for the Planning Commission, HRA and <br />Community Development department. <br />Bennett explained the Home and Garden Fair will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2005. This <br />is a record year for sponsors. Member Bean will volunteer for an article in the Progress edition of <br />the Roseville Review. <br />9.
