2.0Staff Recommendation
2.1The limited incomes of the Roseville Senior House would definitely meet and achieve the
guidelines for use of the HRA’s existing CDBG funds. The average incomes in this
project are below $14,500. In addition, with the willingness of the management to
contribute 50% of the cost, the HRA’s concern regarding matching funds is achieved.
Accessibility is becoming more and more of a challenge for the Roseville Senior House
residents as their average age is steadily increasing.
2.2If approved by the HRA, Stanley Management will secure updated bids for the project
and have the doors installed as soon as possible.
2.3Staff is suggesting that the HRA reimburse Stanley Management for 50% of the total
cost, up to a maximum of $5,000, after the project is completed and fully paid. In
addition, staff recommends that signed lien waivers be collected to ensure that the
contractors have been paid for their service and materials.
3.0Recommended HRA Action
3.1By motion, approve the expenditure of 50% of the cost of installation of handicap
accessible entry doors at the Roseville Senior House Complex at 1045 Larepentuer Ave
as a reimbursement to Stanley Management upon completion of the project and
collection of signed lien waivers.
3.2The amount of the funds issued to the project will not exceed 50% of the total cost up to
a maximum of $5,000 paid from HRA existing restricted CDBG funds.
Prepared by: Cathy Bennett, 792-7072
Request letter and estimated project costs.
Roseville Senior Housing Proposal - Page 2 of 2
