<br />REQUEST FOR HRA ACTION <br />Date: 05-17-05 <br />Item No: 7.c. <br />Staff Approval: Agenda Section: <br /> CB Action <br />Item Description: Consider Modifications to the Roseville Housing Redesign Program <br />(HF6) <br />HRA ACTION REQUESTED <br />1.0 <br />1.1By motion, adopt suggested modifications to the attached Roseville Redesign Program <br />effective immediately. <br />2.0PROGRAM PURPOSE: <br />2.1The Roseville Housing Redesign Program includes the following goals: <br />Encourage homeowners to put professional design, value, and utility back into the <br />City’s older housing stock (pre 1980) and to discourage additions that do not blend <br />and add aesthetic appeal to the existing structure. <br />(defined as household of three or more with one minor child <br />Assist families <br />under the age of 16) <br /> who would like to remain in Roseville and create an adaptable <br />home for their family and a more marketable home for the next owner. <br />Adding new front entries to create more street appeal and encourage more neighbor to <br />neighbor interaction. <br />3.0ROSEVILLE REDESIGN PROGRAM SUGGESTED MODIFICATION: <br />3.1In November 2003, the HRA modified the previously named Rambler Redesign Program to <br />include additional eligibility criteria which helps to ensure that the goals of the program are <br />achieved. The intent of these changes was to more accurately provide a method to attract <br />and retain middle income families who want to move to or stay in the community but desire <br />currently <br />a more modern home. The eligibility criteria is as follows: <br />Required to be eligible: <br />1. <br />Home must have an existing Ramsey County assessed value at or below <br />$200,000. - Required <br />2. - Required <br />Home must be 25 years or older (built in 1979 or before). <br />Housing Redesign Program amendment (05-17-05) - Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br />
