<br />REQUEST FOR HRA ACTION <br />Date: 07-19-05 <br />Item No: 8.d. <br />Director Approval: Agenda Section: <br /> CB Action <br />Item Description: Budget Discussion & Set Public Hearing <br />Budget Process: <br />1.0 <br />July– Review & Amend Housing Plan <br />1.1: Staff will present suggested housing plan <br />revisions at the meeting which will include the policy statements and action steps approved <br />as part of the multifamily housing study. The existing Housing Plan was provided to the <br />HRA in June for review. If HRA members have modifications to the plan, please forward <br />them to the HRA staff for inclusion in the revision prior to the meeting on Tuesday. Also, <br />th <br />based upon discussion with the City Council on the 18, any action steps associated with the <br />Neighborhood meeting report should be incorporated. <br />JulyPresent Draft Budget <br />1.2 – : A draft 2006 budget has been prepared for discussion. <br />This includes minimal programming in the restricted fund budget (723) to include the <br />services of the Housing Resource Center, Loan Funds, Housing Redesign Program, <br />Home & Garden Fair, Studies/Marketing and Administrative Fees. Upon closure of the public hearing the HRA will adopt a preliminary budget and <br />pass a resolution for a levy request to be forwarded to the City Council. If a levy is <br />requested, the resolution and preliminary budget must be presented to the City Council <br />on August 22, 2005. <br />September <br />1.4 – The City Council is required to submit any levies to the County in September. <br />October, November, December <br />1.5 – Refinement of budget and final recommended budget and <br />levy request (if necessary).
