<br />REQUEST FOR HRA DISCUSSION <br />Date: 08-16-05 <br />Item No: 9.a. <br />Staff Approval: Agenda Section: <br /> CB Discussion <br />Item Description: Discuss Marketing Plan for the Family Ownership Loan Program <br />(HF32) <br />Background <br />1.0 <br />1.1In September the HRA approved the establishment of a Family Ownership Loan Program <br />with an initial loan pool of $250,000. The program is to be administered by the HRC <br />similar to the Owner Occupied Loan Program for a fee of $25,000. One of the keys to <br />the success of a new program is knowledge that it is available. The following is a <br />proposed marketing plan for the program. The costs of the program can be funded with <br />existing marketing dollars in 2005. <br />Proposed Marketing Plan <br />2.0 <br />2.1Staff is recommending various methods to market the new loan program to new and <br />existing families in Roseville as follows: <br />Include an announcement regarding the program in the upcoming Housing Link <br />which will be inserted into the Roseville Newsletter and delivered to all homes in <br />Roseville.(attached to packet) <br />Send a postcard or letter to all single family homeowners with homes under <br />$218,000 assessed value amount. The mailing could also include information <br />regarding the HRA, HRC and the Housing Redesign program. Postcard mailing <br />would cost about $950 and letter would cost $1500.
