EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF CITY COUNCIL CITY OF ROSEVILLE RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, was duly held in the city Hall on Monday, the twenty-third day of August, 1993, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. The following members were present: Maschka, Cushman, Goedeke, P. Johnson, and V. Johnson and the following were absent: None. Councilmember P. Johnson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTIONS NO. 8973 RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR CITY PROJECTS 93-15, ARTHUR STREET IMPROVEMENTS, AND 93-23, JOHN ROSE MINNESOTA OVAL PARKING LOT AND ACCESS ROAD IMPROVEMENTS Whereas, pursuant to advertisement for bids for the improvement, according to the plans and specifications thereof on file in the office of the Manager of said City, said bids were received on August 17, 1993, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: BIDDER AMOUNT T. A. Schifsky & Sons, Inc. Glen Rehbein Company Valley Paving, Inc. W. B. Miller, Inc. Ashbach construction, Inc. $363,486.78 $368,914.40 $384,944.37 $385,632.20 $427,519.36 WHEREAS, it appears that T. A. Schifsky & Sons, Inc. of N. st. Paul, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder at the tabulated price of $363,486.78 for the base bid; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota: 1. The Mayor and Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with T. A. Schifksy & Sons, Inc. for $363,486.78 in the name of the City of Roseville for the above improvement according to the plans and specifications thereof heretofore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Manager. 2. The city Manager is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids except the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until contracts have been signed. The motion was seconded by Councilmember Cushman and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Maschka, Cushman, Goedeke, P. Johnson, and V. Johnson and the following voted against: None: Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
