Notice must be published not less than 10 or more <br />than 30 days before hearing date. <br /> HRA mails notice of hearing to Ms. Wu not less than 10 days before <br />hearing date <br />Public hearing <br />Week 9 <br />(6/15/04) <br /> HRA adopts resolution authorizing the acquisition by condemnation <br />Week 11-12 <br />Court hearing date <br /> set by the HRA and the Court <br />(end of June/beg. <br />of July) <br />Condemnation Petition <br />is filed, which contains a description of the property <br />Week 12 <br />and names of owners and lienholders and requests the appointment of <br />commissioners to determine the amount of the award (not the HRA <br />commissioners). At the same time or shortly thereafter: <br />Notice of Court Hearing <br /> HRA serves on Ms. Wu and any <br />lienholders at least 20 days before the hearing <br />Notice of Intent to Take <br /> If “quick take” is used, HRA serves <br />Possession <br /> on Ms. Wu specifying the date (“quick-take date”) that <br />possession is sought <br />(no less than 90 days from date of service) <br />Notice of Lis Pendens <br /> is recorded giving notice of the taking <br />deposits <br /> HRA with the Court the amount of the approved appraisal <br />(need not be done immediately as long as done by quick-take date) <br />Court hearing <br />Week 16 <br /> Court reviews public purpose and any objections raised by Ms. Wu <br /> Court authorizes quick take <br /> If court grants the Petition, it appoints three commissioners and sets <br />the date of the first commissioners’ hearing <br /> <br />
