EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF ~1EETING OF TIiE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA, HELD OCTOBER 21, 1968 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Roseville, Minnesota, was held in the Village Hall in said Village on Monday, October 21, 1968, at 7:30 P.M. The following members were present: Acting Mayor Grauel, Councilmen Linebarger, Curley and Shields and the following was absent: Mayor Moll. ~~nilier Curley introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 4047 RESOLUTION AU'l1l0RIZING FILING OF APPLICATION FOR GRANT TO DEVELOP OPEN-SPACE LA~D WHEREAS, the Land and Water Conservation Fund Act of 1965 provides for the making of grants by the Secretary of the Department of the Interior to states and their political subdivisions to assist them in the planning, acquisition and development of outdoor recreation areas and their facilities; and WHEREAS, the Village of Roseville (herein sometimes referred to as "Applicant") desires to develop approximately 85.03 acres of land located in the Village of Roseville, Ramsey County, Minnesota, includ- ing Acorn Park, Oasis Park, Rosebrook Park and B-Dale Villa Park which land is to be developed and used for open-space land for park and recreational purposes; and WHEREAS, it is estimated that the total consideration to be paid for the current development of said land will be $107,636; NOH, TIfEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ROSEVILLE VILLAGE COUNCIL as follows: 1. Tnat an application to be made to tne Minnesota Department of Conservation for a grant in an amount authorized by the Land and Water Conservation Fund Act of 1965, which amount is presently estimated to be $53,818 and that the Roseville Village Council will pay the balance of the consideration for the deve lopment of the land and all related costs from other funds available to it.
