Treatment would last 5 to 10 years in deep water. <br />Schwartz suggested a public meeting to put this information on display separate <br />from the meeting with the homeowners association later this evening. <br />Ferrington suggested using the workshop meeting to go through the report and <br />make sure the Board is prepared to support the study at the public meeting, which <br />could be announced after the May workshop. <br />Schwartz stated that the budget work plan calls for study of another lake, which <br />should be started soon. <br />Root noted that there is funding for Snail Lake, but more work is needed on Lake <br />Owasso. <br />It was the consensus of the Board that further discussion is needed before <br />deciding on the next project. <br />D-2 Lake Owasso Boat Landing Permit <br />Ramsey County has applied for a permit to reconstruct and dredge the public boat <br />launch at the north end of Lake Owasso. Residents are concerned about lake <br />water quality with this use. <br />Chair Eckman stated that the problem is that the boat launch parking area is <br />graded to drain toward the lake. <br />It was the consensus of the Board to encourage Ramsey County to address <br />drainage issues as well as fixing the boat launch. <br />D-3 Heinel Drive Shoreline Project Permit <br />Homeowners at 825 Heinel Drive, Roseville, are seeking a permit to create a <br />boulder wall on Lake Owasso. <br />The Board briefly discussed the amount of excavation needed. <br />Chair Eckman stated that she would prefer to see shoreline restoration rather than <br />the use of boulders. <br />It was the consensus of the Board to encourage restoration with use of the cost- <br />share program. <br />
